Affiliate Program terms.

Any EarthMeta account holder may join the Affiliate Program straight away by accepting these terms. Your acceptance is recorded against the version above. There is no application to fill in and no waiting for approval.

Creator status is separate: it is an application that EarthMeta reviews, and it is described in clause 07.

You receive a personal referral code and a referral link. A visitor who lands on EarthMeta through your link and then signs in becomes your referral, and that referral earns you money on their purchases for 30 days from the landing. A campaign link carries its own window, which is stated on the campaign.

A referral code typed at checkout replaces the one the visitor arrived with. A buyer has one live referral at a time for ordinary purchases, and the most recent live one is the one that pays. A referral that came from a campaign link is kept beside it and pays on that campaign’s purchases.

You cannot refer yourself. A purchase by your own account, or by an account whose wallet address is the same as yours, is refused and earns nothing.

You earn on the purchases EarthMeta prices and sells itself: a city bought from the Available cities tab, a land EarthMeta offers in the same way, and credits bought inside the app.

Buying EMT is not a purchase under this programme, and neither is buying a city, a land or a building from another user, because EarthMeta neither sets nor collects those prices.

Every referred purchase carries a reward rate set by your tier, as a percentage of the sale price: Bronze 10%, Silver 11%, Gold 12%, Platinum 13%, Diamond 14%, Elite 15%.

You decide how that rate is divided between your own commission and a discount for your buyer, in whole percents. The default is half and half, with the odd percent going to your commission. The discount is real money: the server takes it off the price your buyer pays at checkout. When your tier rises, the division you chose is kept in the same proportion.

Your tier rises with the number of valid referred purchases: Silver at 25, Gold at 75, Platinum at 150, Diamond at 300 and Elite at 500.

A purchase counts once its commission has not been rejected or reversed and the referral behind it was not rejected. A tier never falls.

EarthMeta runs campaigns on Available cities purchases. While you are a member of a running campaign, your own link pays that campaign’s commission and that campaign’s buyer discount on those purchases, instead of your tier rate and your split.

If more than one campaign you have joined could pay for a purchase, the one with the highest commission pays it, and only that one.

You may apply once to become a creator affiliate. EarthMeta reviews the application and, on approval, sets a creator bonus in whole percentage points that is added to your commission.

An approved creator may also earn a boost: extra percentage points on campaign purchases for the period the boost runs. The bonus and the boost are added to your commission only, never taken from your buyer’s discount, and the commission on any one purchase is capped at 50% of the sale price.

A bonus EarthMeta changes later applies to purchases booked after the change.

Your commission is owed in US dollars: the sale price in dollars times your commission percentage. It stays pending for 30 days after the purchase. After that it is approved, unless the purchase was refunded or cancelled, or the referral behind it was rejected.

A refunded or cancelled purchase reverses its commission. If the commission had already been paid, the reversal is recorded as a negative amount that is set against your next payout.

You request a payout once your approved, unpaid commissions come to the programme minimum in US dollars. One payout request is open at a time. A payout at or above the identity threshold is held until EarthMeta has verified your identity.

Payment is made in EMT to your registered wallet on Ethereum. The number of EMT is worked out from the dollars you are owed at the EMT price on the day the transfer is sent, so a fall in the EMT price between the sale and the payment costs you nothing.

EarthMeta records the transaction hash of the transfer, and the payout is marked paid only once that transaction is read back on-chain and shows an EMT transfer of at least that amount to your wallet.

Every referral is scored when it is created. Referring your own account or your own wallet, a blacklisted address, wallet, device or account, an unusual number of referrals from one IP address in a day, and an unusual number of landings from one visitor in an hour all raise that score.

A referral whose score reaches the programme threshold is set aside: it earns nothing and appears on EarthMeta’s fraud list, where a member of staff can put it back in play after review or reject it for good.

Referring yourself or your own wallets, paid search on EarthMeta’s brand, misleading claims, spam, and any scheme that manufactures landings, sign-ups or purchases.

A breach voids the commissions it produced and may close your affiliate account.

EarthMeta may change these terms and the programme’s numbers. A change is published as a new version, which you are asked to accept at your next visit, and it applies to purchases made after that date.
