The role
You will build the augmented-reality layer that lets owners see and place their landmarks in the real world. This is the bridge between the digital Earth and the physical one, geolocated, persistent, and convincing.
What you'll do
- Build geolocated NFT placement with world-anchor persistence across sessions and devices.
- Implement plane detection, occlusion and lighting estimation for believable AR.
- Optimise rendering and tracking for mid-range mobile hardware.
- Work with the 3D and product squads to turn buildings into AR-ready assets.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years in Unity with shipped AR experiences (ARKit / ARCore / AR Foundation).
- Strong C# and a solid grasp of 3D maths, rendering and performance profiling.
- Experience with geospatial anchoring, VPS or world-scale AR.
- You care about the feel of an experience, not just whether it compiles.
Nice to have
- Niantic Lightship, Google Geospatial API or 8th Wall experience.
- Shader work, custom rendering pipelines or asset-streaming pipelines.
